Abstract

This paper is based on the discourse analysis of the book Ravished Armenia and the movie Auction of Souls. It helps the academia to analyze whether this book is written by Mardiganian or Henry Leyford Gates. Likewise, as the author claims this story is her own experience as an Armenian Catholic Christian, the prime motive of this study is also to investigate whether this is a fictional story or based on true events. If every event described in this story is based on truth then “how did the author survive during the process of sexually assaulting Armenian boys and girls by the Turks, and why was everyone else killed”.
